# First spacewalk (1965)

Alexei Leonov performed the first spacewalk from Voskhod 2 on 18 March 1965. The same year the Kosygin economic reform introduced limited profit incentives. Leonov nearly failed to re-enter because his suit ballooned. It was the last of the great early Soviet space firsts.
